All the media in Mongolia is owned or influenced by political or economic interests. The content makers and disseminators have little to do with the audience's needs and demands. Even MNB, the "national public broadcaster" fails consistently to fulfill its law biding mission.

Our foundation was born on the idea that in the digital and social media era, there is no need to establish a public broadcaster in the traditional way. We do not need to apply for an on-air licence, but we can exploit the new unregulated technologies.

We can also make use of the main stream media's hunger for content, something they cannot quench either because of financial obstacles or just pure lack of know-how to finding and negotiating the purchasing or commissioning of public interest content.
